Homeless Memorial

The Good News Rescue Mission will be holding the annual Homeless Memorial Service honoring the memory of those who passed away while homeless and bringing awareness to the harsh realities of living without a home.
The ceremony is open to all, and media is invited.
Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year. It is a timely reminder of the plight of so many of our homeless neighbors who struggle to find basic needs. This ceremony will honor all who have perished while experiencing homelessness and specifically 22 of our named friends who are no longer with us. Each year we try to identify as many people as possible who passed away. It’s likely the number is higher as not all are identified as experiencing homelessness.
When: Wednesday, December 20 at 11am
Where: Good News Rescue Mission, 3075 Veda St., Redding, CA
