Emergency Shelter
At our emergency shelters, we welcome men, women, and children to come find respite from the streets. You’ll find caring staff and volunteers who will help you feel safe, welcome, and encouraged. We have two separate buildings, one for men and one for women and children, plus overflow space for times of great need.

Daily Meals
We were able to provide our guests with over 50,000 safe nights of shelter last year and served over 140,000 hot meals. We serve three meals per day, rain or shine. Anyone in need of a meal is welcome to join us in the dining hall on 3075 Veda Street at the following times:
- 6:30 am Breakfast
- 12:00 pm Lunch (Sundays at 1:00 p.m.)
- 5:15 pm Dinner
Shower Service
Hygiene matters. That’s why we offer shower vouchers through guest services for anyone, even if you’re NOT staying as a guess at the Mission. Check in at 3100 S. Market Street for a shower voucher.
- Showers are available 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. every day.
Clothing Needs
If you or someone you know is in need of clothing or other items, a voucher may be obtained at our Guest Services office located next to the Mission’s emergency shelter at 3100 South Market Street. Vouchers may be obtained from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and Noon. A completed, signed voucher is needed to “shop” at no cost in the Distribution Center located at 3050 Veda Street. For questions regarding vouchers, contact Guest Services at (530) 229-0953 or check in at 3100 S. Market Street.
- Hours to Shop: M,T,W,F – 7:30 am to 2 pm (a voucher is required to “shop” for clothing or other items).
Laundry Service
Registered guests at the Mission are allowed to have their laundry done at no cost, once per week. Laundry vouchers are available at Guests services
- Laundry services are available Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
