Friday Food Give-Away. Families in need of groceries are welcome to receive a bag of food in the dining hall. Every Friday starting at 8 a.m., ending when food is finished.

In 2018, we served 178,000 meals.  That’s over 500 meals per day.  We couldn’t make that happen if it weren’t for the generosity of everyone in our community who helps by donating food, time and countless other items to keep our kitchen up and running.

7:30 a.m. List opens for intake

Request for haircut, id, shower and laundry vouchers M-F 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Request clothing vouchers M-W, F 7:30 a.m.-Noon.

Each guest has five business days upon arrival to complete an intake interview with a counselor. You need to have a photo ID, or be willing to obtain one and must be willing to sit down and be honest about personal information and circumstances.

The Distribution Center is an opportunity for anyone in need of clothing or small household items at no cost. A voucher is needed to “shop” at the DC. Vouchers are available Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m.-Noon at the Resource Center on 3100 South Market Street.

Journey Home is for those who are (about to be) homeless and have family or friends in another city or state. This family member or friend must be willing to host and help the traveler get back on their feet.

A Greyhound bus ticket will be provided to you from Redding to your destination.

Fill out an application at the Resource Center in order to be scheduled an eligibility interview.

The Men’s Shelter and overflow sleep 202 individuals. House of Hope women and children’s shelter can sleep 105.

Guests at the shelter can stay for 30 days and receive 3 meals per day, toiletries and daily showers, as well as laundry -and clothing vouchers. It is strongly encouraged to join one of the many programs offered, geared to breaking cycles of poverty. Doing so will allow a stay beyond 30 days.

The Mobile Hope Van medical clinic is stationed at the Mission it parks in front of the distribution center. Medical staff on the bus will see you on a first come first serve basis. No medical insurance needed.

The New Life Recovery Program (NLRP) is an 18-month residential individualized program, designed to set men and women free from addiction to alcohol and drugs. Providing a safe place and individualized recovery plans aiding in the transformation to become the people God intended them to be.

The Academic Center exists to serve the community as well as students and guests of the Mission. Classroom instructors which consist of highly qualified educators, business owners and retired executives, provide highly effective and transformational instruction and training. The faith-based program of study at the Academic Center engages students in a positive hands-on learning environment designed to utilize the latest innovative and proven methods to enhance and enable individuals to lead a life more abundantly with Jesus.

Christ-centered chapel services are held nightly in the dining hall from 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. following our dinner service. Local Christian churches representing various denominations participate in teaching the Good News of Jesus Christ and offering everyone present the opportunity to learn & worship.

New Life Recovery Program students reach a stage in their journey where they want to give back to the community they once negatively affected by their choices. 

Serving at community events such as helping with set up, tear down, traffic control etc, allow the students to feel accepted and welcomed as a new person.
